Gloria Jean (Murphey) Clark, age 73, passed away on February 16, 2017, at Ardmore, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 18, 2017, in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest with Mike McGowen, Minister to officiate. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Gloria was born on February 13, 1944, to Kenneth L. Murphey and Doris Maye (Olmstead) Murphey, at Ardmore, Okla. She attended and graduated from Ardmore High School. She married W.O. Clark on August 3, 1962. Gloria taught children’s and women’s Bible classes and taught over 1300 international students through World Bible School. She loved counted cross-stitching and crocheting. She was a member of the McLish Avenue Church of Christ in Ardmore, Okla. She was preceded in death by her parents: Kenneth L. Murphey and Doris Maye (Olmstead) Murphey. Gloria is survived by her husband, W.O. Clark; three sons: Wade Clark and wife, Natalie, Chris Clark and wife, Jeana, and Michael Clark and wife, Christi; grandchildren: Allison Wilkie and husband Jack, Emily Clark, Micah Clark, Carson Clark, and Keegan Clark; two brothers, Dennis Murphey and wife, Margo, and Larry Murphey and wife, Lynne. Three nieces and one nephew and a host of family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in her name to “The Gospel of Christ”, P.O. Box 788, McMinnville, TN 37111.
