Charles Michael Jones, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Oklahoma City, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, February 3, 2017, in The Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest with his Uncle Jerry Jackson officiating. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mike was born on May 4, 1951, to Charles Vester Jones and Foy Lawanna (Jackson) Jones. He graduated from Ardmore High School. He attended college in Gainesville, Texas, before working for Haliburton. He moved to Norman and worked for Hitachi for twenty years. Mike was a member of the American Rifle Association and of The Little People of America. He married Sharon Kay Whorton on August 10, 1997, at Noble, Okla. She passed away on November 19, 2010. Mike confessed his Christianity and was a member of the Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Jones, and wife, Sharon Jones. Mike is survived by his mother, Foy Jones, two uncles, Wayland Jackson and Jerry Jackson and wife Mirtha. Special friend Dorothy Ary. A host of Family and Friends. A visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, February 2, 2017, at Griffin~Hillcrest funeral home.
