Joyce Epley passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at the age of 85 in Fort Worth, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, July 12, 2021 in the Chapel at Griffin-Hillcrest, Ardmore, Oklahoma. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Joyce was born June 4, 1936 to the late Ulys Vernon and Mary Lavern (Pierce) Haragan in Foster, Okla. She graduated from Dundee High School. She married Eddie Lee Epley on July 10, 1954. Joyce and Eddie enjoyed living in Lago Vista, Texas, enjoying the view from their deck. She loved reading, playing cards, playing bridge, golf, country and western dancing, and mostly just spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and “Nana” and will be missed. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 62 years, Eddie Lee Epley; and grandmother, Carrie Viola Pierce. She was survived by daughter, Debra Foster; son, Michael Epley and wife, Sheila; brother, Bill Haragan; sister-in-law, Bobbie Epley; brother-in-law, Johnny Epley; grandson, Cody Hodge and wife, Leah; granddaughter, Kristen Welsh and husband, Matthew; granddaughter, Brittany Wade and husband, Cody; grandson, Ryan Epley; great grandchildren, Catherine, Caleb, Colton, Connor and Dylan.
