Seth Thomas White, 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23rd, 2025 in Ardmore, Oklahoma, surrounded by his family. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Seaman First Class Billy Turner Ardmore Veterans Cemetery, Ardmore, with The Reverend Artie Farve officiating. Seth was born on October 10th, 1938, to Farris and Lola White in Enid, Oklahoma. He attended High School in Enid and after graduating he joined the United States Air Force. He served his country for 20 years with 12 of those years being overseas. He met and married his wife of 64 years Patricia Revett in Essex, England, and were married on April 29th 1961. He achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant retiring as the Fire Station Captain out of Eglin AFB, Fort Walton Beach, Florida. After traveling the world, Seth and Patricia settled in Ardmore, Oklahoma, which is where they made their home. Seth was part owner of S&W Machine where he worked and helped run the business for 12 years. Seth also known as “Tom or Whitey” loved being in the outdoors and his favorite thing to do was crappie fishing at many of the surrounding lakes. He had an impeccable sense of humor and always had a good story to tell. He loved helping others and was also known for his cooking skills. Most of all he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Seth is proceeded in death by his parents Farris and Lola along with two brothers Dave White, Jim White, and one sister Mary Jo Birch. Seth is survived by his loving wife Patricia, daughter Cathy Bartgis and her husband Garry of Ardmore, daughter Natalie Caldwell and her husband Paul of Ardmore, and daughter Melissa Hale of Norman, Oklahoma. Grandchildren: Brandon Austin, Bryan Austin and wife Daubri, Derek Bartgis, Laramie Bartgis and Ella Hale. Great-grandchildren: Rowen Austin, Brecken Austin, Callum Austin and Rory Austin along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Casket Bearers will be Brandon Austin, Bryan Austin, Derek Bartgis, Laramie Bartgis, and Kevin Claypool. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please make donations to either Paralyzed Veterans of America (PAV), at 655 15th Street NW, Suite 320, Washington, D.C. 20005 or Boys Town Charity Organization at 14100 Crawford Street, Boys Town, NE 68010. Visitation will be from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, Monday, January 27, 2025, at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home.
