Lahoma Jean Lowe Obituary

Lahoma Jean Lowe, age 70, passed away on August 15, 2024, in Ada, Okla.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 21, 2024, in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest with The Reverend Allen Beck officiating. Interment to follow in McAlister Cemetery.


Lahoma was born in Lawton, Okla. on July 18, 1954 to Raymond Palmer and Millie (Phillips) Palmer. She attended and graduated from Dickson High School, with the class of 1972. She worked at the cookie factory and was a waitress at Carol’s Diner and Cook’s Cafe. Lahoma married Roy Lowe on November 4, 1978. She then took truck driving courses, received her CDL license and enjoyed teaching others to drive. She was a site manager for the Chickasaw Nation Senior Site. Lahoma loved sports and was a score keeper always following her teams; The Steelers, Cincinnati Reds, Atlanta Braves and Oklahoma City Thunder.


She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Rebecca Collins, Norma Higginbotham and Glenda Linderman and brothers, Jimmy Palmer, David Palmer, John Palmer, and Raymond Palmer Jr.


Lahoma is survived by two daughters, Kandie Guynn and husband Tim, Michelle Alberson and husband Jeff, six grandchildren; Sierra Lowe, Ridge Lowe, Abigail Vossler, Benjamin Vossler, James Guynn, and Josie Guynn, and two brothers, Winston Palmer, and James Palmer and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.


Casket bearers will be Angel Alvarez, Dakota Washburn, Jonathan Higginbotham, Cecil Higginbotham, Luis Alvarez, and Telesa Palmer.


Visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Griffin ~ Hillcrest.
