Vada Lorene Franklin, age 80, passed away on June 9, 2021, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 26, 2021, at The Lords Church on Lake Murray Drive in Ardmore., with Pastor Rhonda Howard Officiating. Services under the direction of the family. Cremation under the direction of Griffin~Hillcrest. Vada was born on October 9, 1940 to Delbert Howard Shamblin and Ada Bell (Butcher) Shamblin in Gauley Bridge, West Virginia. Vada made quilts for everyone in the family and many others she loved. She loved to bake special cakes for all her grandkids birthdays and for weddings. She will be remembered as everyone’s grandma and had the most joy in helping others. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Danny Franklin. Vada is survived by her daughter, Barbara Schou, Juanita Hivner, Tina Williams, three sons, Jim Williams, Ronald Milliron and William Milliron, grandchildren, Whitly Jacobs, Chance Kay, Rocki Ray, Dustin George, Cassandra George and great-great grandson, Chance Braxton Jacobs, Jr. and numerous other grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
