Obituary of Donald Eugene Phillips

Donald Eugene Phillips passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020 in Durant Okla. private family services are planned. Don was born to Earl Clifton Phillips and Della (Bolin) Phillips in Leon, Okla. August 26, 1935. He enlisted in the United States Maren Corp October 9, 1953 where he served in the Korean War receiving an Honorable Discharge April 7, 1958. He became effective in the United States Air Force April 8, 1958. Don served in Vietnam retired and receiving his Honorable Discharge in April 30, 1974. Don went to a truck driving school in Stockton Calf. and started his second career in as a truck driver and retired in 1997. After retiring he moved to Marietta Okla. and lived there until 2016 when he moved to Ardmore to be with his family. Don will be remembered for his love of animals but dogs were his favorite. He dabbled in art and enjoyed working with his hands tinkering on anything he could. Preceded in death by his Parents, wife, Barbara (Aultz) Daughter Rena Phillips, Grandson Micheal Phillips. Don is survived by his son Steven Phillips and wife Anglia Phillips of Ardmore, Daughter Debra Phillips and her wife Kat Emerson. Grandchildren; David Phillips, Barbara Phillips, Anthony Phillips and his great-grand son, Grayson Phillips. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to Ardmore Animal Shelter.
