Alda Ann (Witt) Blankenship, age 83, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020, at her home in Ardmore, Okla. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, September 21, 2020, at Hillcrest Memorial Park under the direction of Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home of Ardmore. Ann was born on May 23, 1937, to Clyde Henry Witt and Freda Lee (Anderson) Witt, in Simon, Okla. She attended Courtney Elementary and Jefferson Davis High School in Houston, Texas, from 9th to 11th grade, and graduated from high school at Plainview High School in Ardmore. Ann married Sam Blankenship, Jr., on May 29, 1956. Ann worked as a medical secretary and medical office manager. Ann was an avid OU and Bowling fan. She and Sam were members of Northwest Baptist Church and enjoyed their Sanctuary Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother, and brother, James E. Witt Ann is survived by her husband of 64 years, Sam Blankenship, Jr., and son, Warren Blake Blankenship and wife, Sheila. Granddaughter, Jacci Southern and husband, Jack, and grandson, Scott Blankenship and wife, Natalie, and great-granddaughters, Baylor and Ella. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann’s name may be sent to Cross Timbers Hospice, 207 C Street NW, Ardmore, OK 73401, or to Northwest Baptist Church, 1609 Robinson Street NW, Ardmore, OK 73401.
