Obituary of Justin Ned

Justin “Larry” Ned, age 75, passed away on January 12, 2020, in Ardmore, Okla. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at Nelda Cemetery. Larry was born on January 5, 1945, to Justin L. and Anna (Davis) Ned, in Madill, Okla. The family moved to Dickson, Okla. and Larry attended Carter Seminary and later on attended Dickson Schools. He went to work as a cowboy on one of the local ranches and then for Blue Bonnet Feed for many years. Larry then went to work for Beetle Plastic. In 1980, he went to work for Uniroyal Tire Company until he retired in 1999. He enjoyed cars and was known for driving fast. In his quiet time, he loved to read and study The Bible. Larry is a member of Durwood Missionary Baptist Church, where he attended anytime the door was open. Spending time with his grandkids was the one thing that filled him with joy. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Betty Ned, Brenda Sampson, Roberta Ned, Phyllis Sampson and Mary Ned, granddaughter, Tamsen Payne. Larry is survived by his daughters: Anna Lenning and Becky Ned, sons: Larry Ned and wife, Joyce and Jason Ned and wife, Veronica; seven grandchildren: Joshua and wife, Courtney, Sara, Tyler, Racheal, Danielle, Lilly, and Gabe; fourteen great-grandchildren: Cadrian, Blakelee, Addalee, Deacon, Chasity, Daxton, Tristyn, Zelda, Miranda, Levi, Trey, Kay’den, Taivyn, and Kyler all of Ardmore, Okla. Three brothers: Calvin Ned and wife, Rhonda, of Mannsville, Okla., Harold Ned and wife, Irma, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Curtis Ned, of Ardmore, Okla. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home.
