Nora Dean Roberts, age 77, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026, in Ardmore, Okla.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, May 15, 2026, in The Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest with The Reverend Ricky McGee officiating. Services will conclude in The Chapel. Private interment will follow at Provence Cemetery.

Nora was born on October 29, 1948, to Daniel Hughes and Billie Marie (Brown) Hughes in Marietta, Okla. She attended Marietta Schools. Nora married Charles Roberts on January 29, 1971, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Nora was devoted to her family and will be remembered for her garage sailing every Saturday and always purchasing things for people out of the blue. Nora made sure no one went without.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers; Bobby Hughes, and Billy Hughes and three sisters; Lucille Foster, Mary Hadock, and Maldini Lawson.

Nora is survived by three daughters: Scharlene Roberts, Billie Lou Roberts and Martha Galvan. Seven grandchildren; Justin Smith, Cody Smith, Shaunta Bridges, Brittany Galvan, Stormie Smith, DJ Bridges, and Angel Galvan, several great-grandchildren, brother JT Hughes and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
