Clarence Gordon “Gordy” Meely, age 70, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, in Ardmore, Okla. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 4, 2026, in The Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest with The Reverend Jay Mule officiating. Cremation with care to follow by Griffin ~ Hillcrest Crematorium.

Gordy was born on September 19, 1955, to Abram Clarence Meely and Chiquita Ruth (Johnson) Meely in Oklahoma City, Okla. He worked at the sale barn running cattle and then at the Chickasaw Nation as a warehouse operator, distributing for the food program. Gordy collected movies on video, watching Dallas Cowboys and wrestling, and listening to his music. He enjoyed fishing anytime he could go.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Johnny Meely, sister, Linda Haskins, nephew, Preston J. Meely, niece, Lisa Meely, companion, Magdaline Hickman, and several aunts and uncles.

Gordy is survived by his nieces and nephews, Chrissy Gipson, Dennis Quiroz and wife, Katrina Haney, Vincent Ferrer, Brandon Ferrer, Tommy Meely, Daniel Meely and brother-in-law, Harold Haskins. 14 great-nieces and great-nephews, 2 great-great-nieces, and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, March 3, 2026, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home, Ardmore.
