Marcus Ike Wilmond, age 72, of Ardmore, Oklahoma, passed away February 17, 2026 in Ardmore. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday February 23, 2026, in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest with Pastor Steve Skinner officiating. Interment to follow at McAlister Cemetery, Overbrook, Okla.

Marcus was born on October 6, 1953, to Kelsey Willmond and Ella Mae (Shoemaker) Willmond in Ardmore, Okla. He attended Overbrook Schools, achieving his GED. Marcus worked at Button’s, then spent some time at Pit Pro’s, then returned to Button’s until his retirement.

He enjoyed OU football and Thunder Basketball. He loved spending time with his grandkids and going to all their functions.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ray Willmond, Ronald Willmond and Larry Shoemaker.

Marcus is survived by his wife, Serena Wilmond, son, Dustin Wilmond and his Fiancé Yanasa Charcoal, daughter, Vanessa Wilmond, son, Tyler Wilmond and son, Todd Wilmond. Three grandchildren; Jeramiah Wilmond, Emkv Wilmond, Tyus Wilmond and sister, Melissa Mose.

Pallbearers will be his three sons; Dustin, Tyler and Todd, Dillon Bob, Kevin Bob and Erick Copeland.

Visitation will be held on Monday morning from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm, February 23, 2026, at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home, Ardmore.
