Zepher Lee Arnett, beloved daughter, granddaughter, and friend, passed away on November 17, 2025, at the age of 50. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 29, 2025, at McLish Avenue Church of Christ. Interment to follow at Jehovah Cemetery.

Born in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to Ollie Lee and Linda Arnett, she was lovingly raised by her grandmother, Johnnie Mae Arnett, after the passing of her mother in 1981.

Zepher was a proud Ardmore Tiger who excelled in basketball and track during her school years. She later attended Rose State College, beginning in accounting but ultimately finding her true passion in teaching. She dedicated herself to Ardmore Middle School, where her enthusiasm for her students and colleagues was unmatched. She especially enjoyed working alongside her former teachers, now colleagues, Mary Johnson and Glenda Ingram. Zepher’s Tiger pride carried into every aspect of her life, from cheering at school sporting events to encouraging her students to succeed.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Arnett; grandmother, Johnnie Mae Arnett; and bonus dad, Billy Washington II. She leaves behind her father Ollie Lee and sister Ollisha Shanklin bonus siblings Donna Lee Washington, Billy J. Washington III, and Cody White, long time companion Jerry Ainsworth, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, church family, and friends.

Zepher will be remembered for her radiant personality, her love of family, and the joy she brought to every room she entered. Her laughter, kindness, and perseverance will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.

Visitation will be held on Friday evening, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, November 28, 2025, at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home, Ardmore.
