JoAnn Williams, age 85, passed away on September 24, 2025 in her home of Ardmore OK. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday Oct 8, 2025 in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest with pastor Dave Gardner officiating. Interment to follow in the Seaman First Class Billy Turner Cemetery.

JoAnn was born July 11th, 1940. She married her grade school sweetheart Curtis, on Oct. 4th, 1958. He was in the Navy and deployed for 2 years. They moved to Bakersfield, California in 1966. She worked at Cinderella Flower Shop for 8 years. She then brought her floral & designing talents home to work out of an old trailer she turned into a flower shop. From there it expanded into a flower shop inside her home. She worked year round on designing Christmas arrangements for her annual Christmas home show. People came for many years and lined the roadside to enjoy the comfort of Christmas shopping in her beautiful home. She & Curt also began a rodeo stock contracting business as well as Curt Williams New homes. Alongside, Curt, she designed model and custom homes that stretched across several counties for 3 decades. She returned to her home state of Oklahoma to retire in 2006. Curt & Jo were regulars for years at the old El Tapito. They even named a taco after her called the Tia Taco. She loved being back home in the Bible belt & attending New Hope Freewill Baptist Church.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and JR Roark, and a brother, Rick Largent.

JoAnn is survived by her daughters, Tamy Churchfield, Sherrie Watkins and husband Dusty, who she loved like a son. Two grandchildren, Nikki Jo Watkins and Emily Yanez and one great-granddaughter, Farrah Gene Freeborn.
