Gilbert Douglas Wilton, age 62, passed away on July 29, 2025, in Ardmore, Okla. Memorial services will be 2:00pm, Monday, August 4, 2025, in The Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest with Pastor Donny Custar officiating.

Gilbert was born on July 1, 1963, to Shirley Staley and later adopted by Douglas Wilton and Mary Wilton in Leonard, TX. He attended Ladonna High School in Leonard, TX, where he graduated. He began his career in construction and had Gilberts Trim for a while. He then became a contractor for OPM Construction where he worked for over forty years. He was a sports fan, always rooting for his team and would go fishing whenever he could. Gilbert loved to read and research information, passing it on to his family.

He was preceded in death by parents, sister, Rosalee, and brother, Billy Joe Wilton.

Gilbert is survived by his wife, June Billy, his children, Sandra Billy, Shirley Billy, Mary Billy, Amand Billy, Luwanda Billy, Clara Billy, Tammy Billy, Tommy Billy, and Courtny Billy, 24 Grandchildren, 14 Great-grandchildren and one on the way. Two brothers; Jacky Staley and Billy Staley, one sister, Lisa Staley, and a host of family and friends.
