Kay Margeret Young, age 82, passed away on July 28, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Okla. Graveside services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, August 2, 2025, in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ardmore, Okla. with Pastor David Gardner officiating.

Kay was born on June 10, 1943, to Ray and Margeret (Barnes) Morton in Ardmore, Okla. She attended and graduated from Ardmore High School with The Class of 1962 and went on to atted Southeastern State College where she achieved an associate’s degree. She Married Don W. Young in Gainesville TX. and from this union came their son, Adrian. Later the couple divorced.

Kay worked as a secretary in many businesses including Southwest Medical Center. She was a Christian and a devout member of the Church of Christ and would go to church any chance she could. Kay loved spending time with her grandchildren and loved going on shopping sprees to spoil them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Margeret (Barnes) Morton, aunt, Eddie Adair, and friend of many years, Arch Downing.

Kay is survived by her son, Adrian Young, granddaughter, Stephanie Jones and husband Tim, two great-granddaughter, Rhiannon Kiker and Maizie Jones.
