My Mom was truly one of kind! She grew up in parts of Florida, California and Ardmore. She married William Andrew Walker and together I was born. Mom was faced with the challenge to raise me alone. However she had great support from her Mother, Granny. Mom worked extremely hard to the likes of multiple jobs that ranged from being a nurse aide to cooking or serving in restaurants. All in all she did what she had to support me. Being her only child, my life ultimately became her life. We were BEST FRIENDS. Being a single Mom she got blessed with having “The Talk” with me. I remember fondly she and I both stumbling through. Mom was a champion cheerleader in all my endeavors in that she believed in and encouraged any ventures I might take. She and I could talk about anything as well as cry together all the same. A true highlight in Mom’s life was being called Ninny! She was in the position to provide daycare for all the Grands so that Reverna and I could provide for our family. While Mom has a few health challenges through life she challenged them all like a warrior and survived. Just as Mom was my best friend, her best friend was her Mother. Where you found one of them you found the other. Or at least not far behind. An obituary doesn’t give room for me to tell you everything about my Mother but as you can see she was more than an amazing woman.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her Grandmother, Annie, whom she spoke of many memories with, a sister, Delores Ann Pace, a brother, Harold Dean Ray, a brother, Odis Lee Boydston, her spoiled Fur-son, Peanut.

She is survived by one child, her son, Terry Lynn Walker, of the home in Edmond, OK, a daughter-in-love, Reverna Walker, Ardmore, OK, sister, Brenda Faye Port, of Texas, a brother, Rocky Allen Ray, of Velma, OK, her Grandson who first called her Ninny, Dustin Donovan Lee Walker and wife, Debra, of Ardmore, OK, a Granddaughter, Lauren Faith Walker, of Oklahoma City, OK, she was excited when Terry and Reverna adopted threechildren in the church, adding more “Grands” to be blessed with, Grandson, Mark Evans Walker, Granddaughter, Keniesey Walker and Zyria Walker, both of Ardmore, OK, the thrill to be honored as a Great-grandmother, Great-Grandsons, Andy Walker, Eli Walker, Troy Walker (who is due in September this year), Daelyn Wayne Hickman Jr., Great- Granddaughters, Abrianna Kent, Myria Anderson, and Knoxlley Walker, she is also survived by her newest Fur-son, Dash.
