Richard Lynn Taylor, age 56, passed away on June 29, 2025, in Ardmore, Okla. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Nelda Cemetery with Pastor Steve Wall officiating.

Richard was born in Talihina, Okla. on October 17, 1968, to Edward Lawrence Taylor and Alice (Tubbee) Taylor. He attended Madill Schools. He worked at the Chickasaw Clinic for seventeen years, Gold Mountain Casino for two years, Stone Creek Apartments for one year and Flanders for two years. He had to take disability in 2022. He continued working at odd jobs for a time and ended up stopping due to his heath. Richard enjoyed playing his music and watching westerns. He liked to purchase trucks, fix them up and then get a different one.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Winston Taylor, Danny Taylor and Ed Taylor, and three sisters, Doris Taylor, Valerie Taylor and Geraldine Taylor.

Richard is survived by his wife, Sandra Taylor, eight children; Anna Sampson, Brandon Sampson, Bryan Taylor, Kyle Taylor, Alex Taylor, Korey Taylor, Kimberley Taylor and Riley Taylor. Five grandchildren; Nevaeh Sampson, Brandon Sampson Jr., Izayha Sampson, Avalynn Taylor, and Marco Taylor. Five siblings: Margie Taylor, Letha Taylor, Jennifer Taylor, Eileen Hughes and husband Chris, and Stephanie Frank and husband Norman, aunt, Josephine Taylor, and numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers will be; Harold Marris, Jackson Columbus, Joshua Kale, Derek Davis, Stringfellow Lewis, and Norman Frank.

Visitation will be held on Monday evening, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, July 7, 2025, at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home, Ardmore.
