Norma Sue (Evans) Vian, age 77, passed away on June 27, 2025, in Duncan, Okla. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest, Ardmore, Okla. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park of Ardmore.

Sue was born on November 17, 1947, to R.J. Evans and Agnes (Langston) Evans in Hermitage, Arkansas. She attended and graduated from Hermitage Schools in Hermitage. She went on to attend the Vo-tech in Ardmore. Sue married James Edward Vian on October 2, 1965. She worked at various places in her life including Bill and Barb's Restaurant, Montgomery Ward’s, Oak Hall Montessori School, Cookie Co. in Marietta, Okla., Gloria Ainsworth Daycare, and the Veterans Center. Her hobbies included collecting coins and watching movies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Nancy Jane Sowder, brother, Rufus Evans, and sister, Minnie Cline.

Sue is survived by two daughters: Karen Vian-Rawson and husband, Terry, of Ardmore, and Janice Faye Jones, of Duncan, Ok. Grandchildren: Robin Plott, Jessica Kent, Devlin Thomason, Tim McLelland, Joshua Cypert, Misty Morland, Nicholas Morland, Kevin Sowder, and Melissa Sowder, and thirty-one great-grandchildren. Brother, James Evans and wife, Verlene, and sister, Mary Roque and husband, Froylan.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, July 1, 2025, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home, Ardmore.
