Frances Dell (King) Ryan, affectionately known as "Sis Ryan," passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on June 26, 2025, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, at the age of 82. Born on October 20, 1942, in Phoenix, Arizona, Frances was the beloved daughter of the late Alline Louise Terry King and James Reuben King.
On June 18, 1960, Frances married Charles Jason Ryan in California, embarking on a beautiful journey together that would bless them with three wonderful children: Steven, John, and Linda. Their adventure continued as they relocated to Oklahoma, where they established the Full Gospel Lighthouse in Ardmore. With unwavering dedication, Frances and Charles devoted their lives to serving the Lord and making a positive impact on their church family. Their story is one of love, faith, and a commitment to uplifting others.
Frances and her husband led a congregation where she joyfully sang, praised the Lord, and passionately taught the Word of God in Sunday school.
Known for her spunk and warm nature, she formed lasting friendships with everyone she met. Her love for gardening and passion for garage sale adventures with her dear friend, Mabel, kept her life full and vibrant.
Frances devoted her life to family, faith, and caring for others. Her compassionate calling as a nurse and caregiver allowed her generous heart to make a remarkable impact on everyone around her. With an abundance of warmth and humor, she effortlessly built friendships wherever she went, leaving laughter and love in her path.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, James Reuben King and Alline Louise Terry King; her sister Myrna Lee Prewitt and Linda Wilburn; and her brother Floyd Terry. She leaves behind her dedicated husband, Charles Jason Ryan; her children Steve Ryan and his wife Pat Ryan, John Ryan and his wife Gaylene Ryan, and Linda (Ryan) Graham and her husband Mark Graham; as well as her siblings Mary Tynes, Marcia Barnett, and Randy Terry, all who cherish her memory deeply. She leaves behind her 10 grandchildren: Chuck Ryan and wife Jackie Ryan, Jordan Ryan and wife Jordan (Michelle) Ryan, Caleb Ryan, Chris Ryan and wife Autumn Ryan, Jessica (Ryan) Phan and husband Anthony Phan, Nathan Graham and wife Kariana Graham, Chand Graham, Chris Graham, Lexi Graham, and Jeremiah Graham. Her 7 great-grandchildren; Andrea Ryan, Kimmie Ryan, Melody Graham, Cadence Graham, Whitney Ryan, Grayson Ryan, and Judah Graham.
A celebration to honor Frances’s beautiful life will be held at Southwest Pentecostal Church of God at 1006 C Street SW, Ardmore, Oklahoma, Monday, June 30, 2025, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Marvin Lowry, Pastor Gary Gunsolus, and Pastor Mark Graham Officiating. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Ryan, Jordan Ryan, Caleb Ryan, Chris Ryan, Nathan Graham, Chris Graham, Jeremiah Graham, and Anthony Phan.
As we reflect on Frances Ryan's legacy, we remember her loving heart, infectious joy, and tireless dedication to loving God and others. She will be profoundly missed.
