Steven Dewayne Akins, age 58, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, in Ardmore, Okla. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, on Monday, March 31, 2025, at The Chapel in Griffin~Hillcrest with Pastor Steven Skinner officiating. Cremation with care by Griffin ~ Hillcrest Crematory.

Steven was born in Ardmore, Okla. on February 28, 1967, to Helen (Love) Akins and Harold Akins. He attended and graduated from Dickson Schools in 1985. He went on to work for the family business, Akins Concrete, as a concrete finisher. Before his accident, Steven enjoyed playing softball, hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles.

Steven is survived by his parents, Helen (Love) Akins and Harold Akins, sister, Lisa Kahn and husband, Howard, and brother, Wayne Akins and wife Stacey, Ardmore, Okla. Two daughters and two sons, and eight grandchildren. Nieces and nephews: Brandon, Ashley, Alicia, and Jared. Special Cousins, Yvonda and Vicky. Numerous great nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.

Steven’s family will be receiving guests one hour prior to service beginning at 1:00 pm, at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home, Ardmore.
