Obituary of Jimmie Ray Bradley

Jimmie Ray Bradley, age 78, born on January 11, 1947, in Marietta, OK, went to his eternal home on March 13, 2025, while at home surrounded by his family. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 20, 2025, in Hillcrest Memorial Park with Pastor Gary Gunsolus officiating. Jimmie was the son of Mary Ollie Bradley and Meranda Ethel McKee Bradley. He was raised in Marietta, OK where he attended public schools. He served his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force in 1967 and was honorably discharged in 1971. Jimmie worked as a manager of a service station in Marietta and then moved on to being a truck driver for Dolese and left there and went to work for Sears as a technician then bought his own TV Shop and purchased the store in Dickson and called it J&S Grocery. In 1987 he began driving as a cross-country truck driver/trainer for JB Hunt and Schneider and then became an owner operator. After retiring from cross-country driving, he still drove for local trucking companies and was also an instructor at Ardmore Truck Driving School. He also obtained his real estate license and worked as a realtor and then became a security guard and did that until he fully retired. In September of 1972, he met his wife, Stella Lou Fay Copeland Bradley, and they were married on November 18, 1972. From this marriage they had two daughters, Gwendolyn Dawn and Shalene Ranae. He was preceded in death by his parents Ollie and Ethel Bradley, and brothers Danny Bradley and his wife Janice Bradley and his brother Edwin Bradley, brother-in-law Ronnie Schrader, nephews Charles and Wayne Bradley and Michael Schrader, father, and mother-in-law LW and Annie Copeland, brother in laws Coleman Brown, Charles Copeland, James Copeland and wife Lena and Oscar Copeland. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Stella of the home, his daughters Gwen Rawls and Shalene Brownlee. His grandchildren BreAnna Pratt and husband Kolby Pratt, Brooklyn Rawls, Kelsey Rawls, Austin Brownlee, and wife Madison, Meranda Rawls and Cheyanne Rawls. Two great grandchildren, Kashton Ray and KayLynn Faye Pratt, Sister Sue Schrader, sisters-in-law Frances Bradley and Mary Copeland and several nieces and nephews.
