Obituary of JC Keenan

JC Keenan, age 88, passed away on Friday, February 28th, 2025, in Overbrook, Oklahoma. Private family services will be held. JC was born in Comanche, Oklahoma, on April 26th, 1936, to Richard D. Keenan and Alberta “Birdie” (Lewis) Keenan. The family moved to Loco, Okla. where he attended and graduated from Loco High School. He went to work in the oil field with TESCO for John Elmore and after 62 years and 2 months, it closed down and he retired. JC married Karen Dickey Kirk on June 16, 1957, in Loco, Okla. and from this union came their son, Kevin and three daughters; Kristi, Kari and Kathryn. After his wife’s passing, he married Carolyn Lewis at Lake Murry Chapel on March 3, 2001, and that marriage ended on June 19, 2012. When given time, JC loved to wet a line and go fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Karen Keenan, who passed in 1998, daughter, Kristi Bryant, sister, Willia Morehead of Comanche, Okla and brother, JD Keenan. JC is survived by his son, Kevin Keenan, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and daughters: Kari Smart of Ardmore, Okla, and Kathryn Taggart of Frisco, Texas.
