Obituary of Harold Benjamin Hill

Harold Benjamin Hill, age 96, passed away on February 13th, 2025, in Ardmore, Okla. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Hillcrest Memorial Park of Ardmore with Minister Matt Benedick officiating. Under the direction of Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home, Ardmore. Harold was born on March 7, 1928, in Yukon, Okla., to William Gaston Hill and Marie (Hathaway) Hill. He married Miss Helen Isabel (Fellows) Hill on December 25, 1949, at Hugo, Okla. The couple lived in Hugo for a year and then moved to Borger, Texas, for Harold’s work where he did construction. They moved to Perryton, Texas, and he worked as a pump truck operator for Dow Chemical. Harold worked his way to being in sales and was transferred to Healdton, Okla., in 1979 as the District Manager. After his retirement in 1982, the couple made their home in Ardmore. Harold enjoyed working with his hands, restoring old cars, and being outside working in the yard. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, Harold Barrett Hill, and one brother, Billy Jean Hill. Harold is survived by one son, Scott Hill of Ardmore, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Two brothers: Delbert Hill of Del City, Okla., and JB Hill of Florida, and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, on the day of services, from 9:00 am until service time, at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home, Ardmore.
