Thalia Tydallis Baptiste, age 28, passed away on January 17, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am, Wednesday, January 29, 2025, in The Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home. Cremation with care to follow services under the direction of Griffin ~ Hillcrest. Thalia was born in Tulsa, Okla. on October 16, 1996, to Tracy Janine Garcia and Pedro Garcia Garcia. She attended and graduated from Dickson Schools, where she was in color guard and flag captain. She worked at various restaurants throughout Ardmore. She went on to study psychology at Murry State. Later taking a position with the Chickasaw Nation as an administrative assistant for Cultural Arts and Humanities. In her spare time, she loved to sing Disney songs and gospel music. Thalia was very literary and loved to write poetry. She was preceded in death by her parents, uncle, William Victor Baptiste, and two aunts: Leona Carol and Victoria Baptiste, and grandparents, Lonzo and Gloria Baptiste. Thalia is survived by her daughter, Sapphire Janine Armenta, brother, Tynen Garcia, aunts, Luleda Rose West and husband, Dana, of Chickasha, Okla., and JoAnna Gail Cantley and husband, Ambus, of Ardmore, Okla. and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home. Condolences may be left at www.griffinhillcrest.com.
