Dorothy Nell (Brown) Maddox, age 78, of Ardmore, Okla., passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at The Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest with Pastor Donny Custar officiating.
Dorothy was born on September 7, 1938, to William B. Brown and Berna (Allen) Brown at Ardmore, Okla. She married James Ray Maddox on September 8, 1955. Dorothy worked in retail sales.
Dorothy was an active member at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, and was a member of the Jaycee-Ettes. She enjoyed antiquing, shopping, puzzles, and traveling. She loved being around her family and her church family at Emmanuel Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ray Maddox, parents, one sister, Sue Newman, and Two brothers, Joe Brown, and William Brown.
Dorothy is survived by two sons; Craig Maddox and Randy Maddox, Two brothers; Jim, and Jack, four grandchildren; Calvin, Chance, Candace, and Chelsea Maddox, and several great-grandchildren.
Family visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Tuesday evening at Griffin ~ Hillcrest
