Vickie Sanchez Vansill, age 66, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017, at Ardmore, Okla. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Hillcrest Memorial Park of Ardmore, Okla., with Pastor Lawanda Elles officiating.
Vickie was born on December 11, 1950, in Talihina, Okla., to Alfredo Castillo Sanchez and Juanita Mae (Wade) Sanchez. She attended Ardmore City Schools. Vickie worked with the Without Walls Church Center in Fort Worth, Texas, where she was the clothing coordinator helping in the community outreach programs. She was very active in her church while she lived in the Fort Worth area.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and great-grandson, Jayceon Young.
Vickie is survived by two daughters: Yolanda Christina DeBord and husband, John, and Shalena Bruce, three sons: Jackie Bruce, Phillip Whitthorne, and Matthew Whitthorne, 12 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Five sisters: Delores Weisner, Lawanda Elles, Carla Venable, Lisa Martin, and Lee Ann Mashore. Four brothers: Glenn Sanchez, Hondo Sanchez, Mario Sanchez and Nat Sanchez.
Prayer services will be held on Monday evening, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, April 3, 2017, at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home, Ardmore.
