Obituary of H. L. Faulkner

HL Faulkner, 68, passed from this life on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Ardmore, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, March 10, 2017, in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest with Steve Ryan officiating. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Ardmore, Okla. HL was born to Albert and Mildred Faulkner on April 10, 1948, at Ardmore, Okla. He married Miss Elizabeth Pauline Collins on Nov. 20, 1970. With their tire and wrecker business, HL served the Ardmore community for over 35 years. HL loved his family, friends, and work. He was a big kid at heart and was always aggravating somebody. HL will always be forever remembered in our hearts. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mildred Faulkner, father and mother-in-law, Ernest and Irene Collins, brother, James “Butch” Faulkner, and sister, Ann Copeland and husband, JJ. Nephews: Henry Watkins and Sam Watkins, sister-in-law, Janet Collins, and brother-in-law, Clifford Collins. Grandchildren: Courtney Faulkner, Dakota Owens, and Desiraye “Pooters” Morey. HL is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Pauline Faulkner, and son, Brendan Jayce Faulkner of the home. Daughters: Valerie Morey and husband, Jim, of Ardmore, Teresa Noe and husband, Chester, of Ardmore, and Shawna West and husband, Billy, of Seminole, Okla. Son, Russell Faulkner and girlfriend, Ashleigh Tibbs, of Ardmore. Grandsons: Jordan Jacobs of Ardmore, Daniel Miller of Seminole, Austin Miller of Seminole, and future grandson, Chaiston Ray Lee Faulkner of Ardmore. Granddaughters: Sierra Miller of Seminole and Carrissa Owens of Ardmore. Brother, Ray Faulkner and wife, Vanessa, of Mannsville, Okla. Sisters: Jane Cunningham and husband, Scott, of Kingston, Okla., Mary Glover and husband, John, of Ardmore, Janice Copeland and husband, Felix, of Ardmore. Brother-in-law, Wendell Collins of Ardmore, and sister-in-law, Donna Manning of Shreveport, Louisiana. Helper and nephew, William Collins. Many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Russell Faulkner, Jim Morey, Roy Tibbs, Lester “Pedro” Gardner, Tony Wilkins, and Dale Wilkins. Honorary bearers will be Ray Faulkner and Rick Carrell.
